Frequently Asked Questions
Pledgr charges a 5% platform fee on funds successfully raised. Payment processing fees (M-Pesa, card, or crypto) are typically 1-3% depending on the provider. There are no upfront costs to create or publish a drive.
Pledgr supports M-Pesa, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and popular cryptocurrency wallets including MetaMask and Coinbase Wallet. We are constantly adding new payment options to serve a global audience.
Fixed goal drives can run for up to 60 days. Flexible drives have no hard deadline but we recommend setting one to create urgency. You can extend a drive once by up to 14 days if needed.
Navigate to your dashboard and click Withdraw. You can send funds to your M-Pesa account, bank account via EFT, or a crypto wallet address. Withdrawals typically process within 24-48 hours for M-Pesa and 3-5 business days for bank transfers.
If a fixed goal drive does not reach 100% of its target by the deadline, all pledges are automatically refunded to the backers. The drive creator receives nothing. This all-or-nothing model protects pledgers and incentivizes creators to promote actively.
Anyone 18 years or older with a valid ID and a verified payment account can create a drive on Pledgr. We support drive creators from over 40 countries. Non-profit organizations and businesses can also create drives with additional verification.
Absolutely. Pledgr uses industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3) and never stores your full card details. Payments are processed through PCI-DSS compliant providers. Crypto transactions are handled directly on-chain for maximum transparency.
Yes, you can update your drive description, images, and FAQ at any time. However, you cannot lower your funding goal once pledges have been received. You can raise the goal if needed. The drive title and category cannot be changed after the first pledge.
